Knowing what's going on - the be-all and end-all of M&A.
As quickly as the ink is dry, the merger of two companies always proves to be a tough process in reality.
As is so often the case in life, the success or failure of an investment, merger or sale depends on the expertise of the investor or new owner. This requires a great deal of experience, sensitivity and expertise.
The speed of integration has to be right.
At EVOIO, there are no winners and losers. Taking everyone on board and setting sail anew as one team is always the maxim for our majority shareholdings and acquisitions. We often encounter emotional reservations among the acquired workforce. We understand and respect this. Accordingly, we always adapt the pace of integration to the individual circumstances.
Corporate culture does not tolerate dumbbells.
A successful merger requires an intercultural acquisition. We know from our own experience the challenge when two corporate cultures meet.
In order to minimise the potential for conflict in advance, we do our homework at an early stage. In a preliminary phase, the analysts at EVOIO analyse the corporate culture of the target company and match it with their own. During the exploratory phase, we pay attention not only to the strategic and financial aspects, but also to the ‘cultural fit’.
In addition to the usual ‘due diligence’ (organisation, human resources, financial, legal, tax, external), we also carry out a ‘cultural due diligence’ during the integration process. In this way, we always start our joint work with strategic harmony in terms of partnership, production and vision.
One of many examples of competent acquisition and integration with EVOIO
ActSafe AB has been part of EVOIO's portfolio since January 2020. The Swedish technology company has been the global market leader for innovative cable winches for decades.
However, founder and CEO Magnus Glanz came to the point where he lacked the sales strength to penetrate existing and new markets more deeply.
The sale to EVOIO was the result of the owner's conviction that his company had found the ideal partner for the further rise of ActSafe.
And rightly so. Right from the start, we made it clear what we wanted to do: To further strengthen the site in Sweden, expand expertise in motorised winches and give all employees prospects for growth and secure employment. And this promise has been skilfully implemented and kept to this day.
That's how we did it!
With its motorised cable winches, ActSafe has been breaking new ground right from the start. Physically strenuous work and strain have been significantly minimised. True to the motto ‘brains instead of brawn’, the company provides the user with massive physical relief while simultaneously increasing the speed of work and improving business opportunities.
ActSafe is also extending this innovative edge to new property. With the Group's unique application and training expertise, we are constantly revolutionising rope access technology.
Thanks to the high production capabilities within the holding company, we have been able to significantly increase the depth of production and speed of development.
